  • Keep falling back into the same habits or patterns
  • Hold yourself back or lack confidence
  • Talk yourself out of opportunities

Meet your trainer

Jo Creed

Hi, I'm Jo Creed.

Since moving to the Midlands, I’ve really come to love the area - the people, the sense of community and the beautiful countryside. That’s one of the reasons I wanted to start running more local, face-to-face events here. It feels important to me to create opportunities for people in the area to come together, learn something useful, meet others and hopefully leave with ideas and tools that make a real difference.

I came to NLP with a background in human and business psychology and over 25 years’ experience in coaching, training and senior leadership roles across healthcare, public and commercial sectors. I know what it’s like to be on the hamster wheel of stress, responsibility and “shoulds”. NLP helped me step off it, put myself back on the priority list, and choose a different way forward. That lived understanding shapes how I train, connect and support people every step of the way.

For over 25 years I've been helping people develop greater confidence, create meaningful change and become more effective communicators through NLP, coaching, Clean Language and behavioural psychology.

I've trained hundreds of people across the NHS, public sector, private organisations and independent businesses.

One of the things I love most about NLP is that it isn't just something you learn during a course. The skills become part of how you think, communicate and coach, often making a difference every single day, both personally and professionally.

What matters most to me is how people experience the training. I don’t believe in delivering a course and then disappearing. Everything I do is centred around the Beyond NLP family - supporting people to apply what they learn in their work, relationships and everyday lives.

My workshops are always fun, practical, supportive and highly interactive, because I believe the best way to learn is by experiencing the techniques rather than simply hearing about them.

What is NLP?

NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. It is a powerful approach to understanding how we create our experience of the world and how this impacts how we feel, communicate and behave.

Rather than simply helping us become more aware of those patterns, NLP gives us practical ways to work with them, challenge them and change them. This can create greater flexibility, new choices and very different ways of thinking, feeling and responding.

Neuro

This relates to our internal experience - how we think, remember, imagine, interpret situations and respond emotionally. NLP helps us explore how that internal experience is structured and how changing aspects of it can change the way we feel and respond.

Linguistic

Language does far more than communicate information. The words we use can shape meaning, reinforce beliefs, influence emotion and affect what we notice or overlook. NLP explores both the language we use with others and our internal dialogue, helping us recognise where language may be limiting us and how different questions, perspectives and ways of expressing things can open up new possibilities.

Programming

Over time, we develop patterns and habits - ways of thinking, feeling and behaving that can become almost automatic. Some serve us incredibly well whilst others may continue long after they have stopped being useful. NLP provides ways of working with those patterns so we can interrupt automatic responses, create alternatives and build more useful ways of responding.

At its heart, NLP is about practically creating change. It helps us understand the patterns behind what we do, expand the choices available to us and develop new ways of thinking, feeling, communicating and behaving that can create very different results.
